there are 2 mainly used towers at Hogwarts. The Astronomy tower, where the classes for that subject are taught and the West Tower, where the Owlery resides

underneath the main grounds are the hogwarts dungeons. here is where Potions classes take place. The kitchens of Hogwarts, that are worked by house elves are hidden behind a portrait on this floor. May you be unlucky and get detention, those are served here.

Muggle Studies, Defence Against The Dark Arts, and History of Magic are taught on this floor

Moaning Myrtle's Bathroom, DADA Professor's Office, Professor McGonagall's Office, and also the Hospital Wing.

the brave Gryffindors come here to relax, chat with fellow housemates, and sleep. the entrance is the portrait of the fat lady located on the 7th floor entrance.

the loyal Hufflepuffs come here to relax, chat with fellow housemates, and sleep. Located near the kitchens and decorated with their colors gold and black

the wise Ravenclaws come here to relax, chat with fellow housemates, and sleep. Located in a tower, the house is decorated with their colors bronze and blue, and a statue of their founder Rowena Ravenclaw resides in the circular commonroom.

the cunning Slytherins come here to relax, chat with fellow housemates, and sleep. Their common room is located in the dungeons and decorated in silver and green.

here are the wide grounds outside of Hogwarts. The Whomping Willow is a popular destination for the Marauder, due to the secret passage to the shack. Care of Magical Creatures is also taught out here

here is where Herbology class is

the lake is a popular destination for students to hang. Inhabited by a friendly giant squid. Some do swim in it, but most would rather enjoy it on the shore

here is the one and only designated place to play Quidditch. during the games it's filled with players and spectators. the rest of the time it's a place for the house teams to practice or for anyone who wants to simply take a flight to fly around.

so what if students aren't allowed in here? a few of the more courageous students can often be found here. however, rule breaking is rather stupid ever since Voldemort and Death Eaters are on the loose.

all students 3rd year and up are allowed to take trips to Hogsmeade on certain weekends. eat sweets at Honeydukes, find tricks at Zonko's joke shop, or have a drink with friends at the Three Broomsticks. The shack where the Marauders hang out once a month is here too.
